China, 17th/ 18th c.H. 61 cm o. S.
Cast in standing posture with her right arm raised in front of her abdomen supporting a child while the left is stretched down along her body, wearing various garments including a wide-sleeved mantle, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows running into her nose-bridge, elongated earlobes, her hair combed in a chignon secured with a tiara cast with a worshipper to its front and covered with a veil falling down her shoulders.
From an old southern German private collection, supplemented by inheritance in the 1950s and acquisitions in the 1960s to the 1980s - Damages due to age, repairs, feet lost.
